Incorporate Raw Materials 
Natural finishes, such as wood, have always been a big characteristic of the Scandi design, including flooring and furniture. More recently, with many trends, ‘Scandi’ has taken a twist, combining wood with industrial metal finishes, taking a design from a soft and warm feel, to a sophisticated and stylish look.

Our Television Centre show home features a Scandi-industrial furniture collection, displaying various types of timber furniture including a media- table with contrasting wooden draws. By incorporating these simple yet effective pieces of furniture into your home you’re guaranteed to execute the Nordic style. 

Add Natural Textures 
Inspired by the cold Scandinavian weather, add different textures through your soft furnishings such as cushions and throws which can be combinations of wool, sheepskins and mohair.

As seen in our Twickenham Gate project, by incorporating warm textures our designers have created a cosy and inviting space to embrace the ultimate ‘hygge’ moments and feel as if you were in the Nordics yourself. 

Embrace Neutral Colours
Focus on using a neutral colour palette when decorating your home. Hues of greys, whites and blacks collectively make up the classic Scandi colour palette.

As featured in our Lowther Road Dress for Sale family home, decorate your home with neutral colours on the walls in order for the furniture and accessories to stand out. Add accents of colours through accessories or enhance the natural aesthetic further and add lushes of greens by accessorising with house plants from Patch Plants.
