After dressing a variety of properties across the capital for many of Sam Fifield’s clients, we were keen to find out more about his exciting role as Senior Negotiator at Knight Frank.

Can you tell us more about your role as Senior Negotiator at Knight Frank?
I sell new homes in London! I help buyers navigate the new build landscape. This can differ from international investors looking to start or expand an investment portfolio to domestic buyers looking for a London base. These can vary from contemporary studios to luxury penthouses. I am very lucky to see such a variety of properties across the Capital.

How do you collaborate with our team at Knight Frank Interiors?
Most of my buyers are not in London full time or are busy day-to-day, so I collaborate with the Knight Frank Interiors team to take the stress out of furnishing a new, empty apartment for my clients! Recently, I sold an apartment to a lovely family who split their time across three different time zones. I made the introduction and from conception to installation, the team at Knight Frank Interiors did a brilliant job creating a totally bespoke space for them, all whilst communication was completely virtual as the client was in New York over the lockdown.

I also offer Knight Frank Interiors’ bespoke package service to investors, leaving a property ready for tenants to move into.

What do you think makes a property sell in London?

That’s a tough one! Each property is so unique it’s about qualification and really listening to what is important to an individual. To give a direct answer, I would say light and well thought through, useable layouts. When it comes to finishes, neutral palettes can help appeal to a wider audience.

If you could live anywhere in London where would that be and why?

Please may I have the penthouse at Centre Point? One of the best 360 views of London from the heart of theatre town, you couldn’t get bored there! Whilst I save up for that, Richmond is still a dream location.  With a country feel, and only 30 minutes to Central London, riverside living, and the deer of Richmond Park – the location is perfect.

What do you get up to in your free time?

I am a big sports fan! You will find me watching football, rugby, boxing, tennis, Formula One – anything at all. I’m planning trips to Old Trafford to see Cristiano Ronaldo from the Stretford end this season, a boyhood dream, as well as training for a charity run at the moment. Once that is over, I’ll be back in the many restaurants and pubs of Southwest London. If you’re looking for a recommendation, L'Antipasto on Battersea Park Road is a family-owned Italian that has been around since the 80’s.
