In association with Accouter, Knight Frank Interiors’s latest project was recently revealed on their Instagram. The Belvedere is a spacious three-bedroom luxurious penthouse, boasting an in-house gym, pool, sauna facilities and concierge services. Known for their signature luxury interiors, the team were appointed to complete a full refurbishment of the apartment, converting the property into a modern, transitional apartment, located in one of the most exclusive developments in Cambridge.

The Brief
The brief in hand was to produce a crafted and exquisite interior space which is welcoming, functional and which offered a comfortable and luxurious mood, look and feel.

For the designers, their main aim was to add value through our bespoke interior design service, whilst listening to the clients’ needs and taking into consideration their lifestyle requirements. Ultimately, creating a space that exudes luxury, the first step was to look at the interior architecture, layering specialist finishes and a warm material palette. This elevated the space providing an elegant, sumptuous feel throughout.

The Design
Prior to Knight Frank Interiors re-designing the space, the designers took time to understand the key elements that needed work. The ceilings within the apartment were low, out of shape and the walls were covered in dark strong patterned wallpaper. The floor was a very yellow strong patterned marble which overtook all the attention in the space. From a design perspective, the main objective was simple; to offer an amazing living experience and to maximise the property value, creating a brightly open, fresh space, whilst bearing in mind functionality as well as aesthetics.

The final design by Knight Frank Interiors was carefully thought about, taking in consideration a mix of sophistication and simplicity. With luxurious fabrics supplied from the likes of Mark Alexander, Jason D Souza and Foxlinton, every detail of the scheme was carefully considered. Crafted by the finest British Artisans, the loose furnishings were bespoke made for the penthouse. The designers favoured using natural materials such as bronze, precious timber and marble to accentuate the aspirational design whilst complementing the conditional architecture of the property.
